LEADERS South Shields managed to overcome mid-table Mickleover in a seven-goal thriller at Mariners Park. The Mariners started the better with goals from Arron Thompson and Nathan Lowe before the break.
Sports, however, rallied to score twice on the counter and turn the game on its head. Recent signing Sefton Gonzales scored his first goals for his new club – a brace, with fellow striker Jason Gilchrist also on target.
