OLLIE Pearce scored two goals and created a third as high-fl ying Worthing eased past strugglers Brightlingsea Regent to go five points clear at the top of the table.
Leading scorer Pearce took his league tally for the season to 11 courtesy of a first-half penalty and a second-half header, after Alex Parsons had opened the scoring.
This was an 18th game without defeat in the league for the Rocks – a run stretching back to October 5.
And with their closest rivals Folkestone losing, the Mackerel Men now have clear daylight at the summit.
