EMOTIONS were high at the Proctor Cars Stadium as both sides paid an impeccable tribute to the departed Jordan Sinnott. When the action got underway in Matlock manager Paul Phillips’ first game in charge, it did not begin well, Hyde taking a ninth minute lead through Tom Pratt, who was on hand to pick up the pieces after Jon Stewart had parried Liam Tongs powerful free kick. But apart from the odd attack Matlock were not troubled for the rest of the half although Stewart got down to fingertip another Tong free kick.
