THE curse of the manager of the month award struck as lowly Kettering Town claimed a well-earned point at Phil Parkinson’s highflying Altrincham.
Danny Nti’s header for Kettering was cancelled out in the 63rd minute by substitute Toby Mullarkey in a below-par performance from the play-off chasing Robins.
The visitors went in front in the 18th minute against the run of play when Connor Kennedy’s diagonal cross was acrobatically headed in by Nti. This stunned Alty, and led to a sustained period of pressure from the Poppies.
