Is it now time to switch to the summer?
CHECKING the local league results in my local paper, I noticed that many clubs have played only eight or nine games this season. Considering we are now in March, how on earth are these league fixtures going to be completed? In this part of Sussex, only Eastbourne Borough and co-tenants Langney Wanderers have a synthetic pitch so their home games are always on. But, despite this, the constant rain and high winds do not make spectating pleasant, regardless of the fact that there is plenty of cover at Priory Lane.
