ANDY Smart’s column about the link between beer and Non-League football (NLP, May 3) brought back some great memories to me and reminded me too about the days when I was young and fit enough to play for the Marine supporters’ football team.
Although I have never been a huge beer fan, I, like most football supporters, have flirted with the amber nectar from time to time over the years.
