PAULTON Rovers finally opened their doors for business yesterday – but not before an untimely downpour caused an 11thhour scare!
Volunteers from the Southern League South and West club had used the lockdown period to carry out several improvements to the clubhouse bar, entrance areas and toilets to adhere to government guidelines.
However, torrential rain in the south west last week put the operation on hold with severe flood damage caused to the lounge and parts of the entrance area.
But after some last-minute repair works, the club were able to open their doors as planned.
