BUSY HARTLEPOOL United boss Dave Challinor had a productive Saturday with five new signings as his squad rebuild starts to take shape. Mark Shelton has re-signed on a permanent deal following a loan spell from League Two outfit Salford City last season.
There is also a permanent return for Gary Liddle after his successful loan stint last term. Liddle first signed for Pools in 2006 and went on to play 284 times and move 20th in the club’s list of all-time appearance-makers. Challinor has also lured back striker Rhys Oates following a two-year spell at League Two side Morecambe.
