CHASETOWN seized on generous defending against a rebuilt Redditch side still trying to find their feet.
Second-half goals from summer signing Reggie Smith and Tyreace Brown settled the match. Both defences wobbled, often at set pieces, but United had the chance of the half when a free-kick was headed over by Ioan Richards.
The hosts struggled and Ben Lund was denied by Ollie Taylor at point-blank range after a routine long ball had been nudged to the far post by Smith.
