DAVENTRY TOWN hung on to secure all three points despite a second-half onslaught from visitors Kidlington.
Adam Creaney scored what turned out to be the winning goal in the 13th minute when he slotted home from close range after a fine run down the right by Luke Emery.
Emery himself had chances in both halves to make the game safe but just could not get the finishing touch.
George Ball went closest for Town with a shot for from edge of the box that crashed off the crossbar.
