STALYBRIDGE Celtic defender Tyler Williams has signed pro terms with Middlesbrough. The youngster received the contract after impressing while on trial with Boro’s under-23 side.
The 19-year-old had been in the academies of Burnley, Oldham Athletic and Preston North End. He joined Northern Premier League Premier Stalybridge this summer after his two-year scholarship at Preston ended.
But having become aware of Williams’ availability, Boro took the centre- back on trial, resulting in a first pro deal for the youngster.
