A 90th-minute penalty sent Slough Town into the next round in a fiercely contested cup tie with Dartford.
Tom Bonner nodded over after two minutes before Charlie Sheringham miscued from close range to tap his effort wide.
The hosts felt they should have had a penalty in the 26th minute when Sheringham went down under pressure from Slough goalkeeper Jack Turner causing one of many furious protests from both dugouts during an ill-tempered first half.
