SLIMBRIDGE stormed into an early lead when William Hawes struck a fierce shot from the edge of the area which gave Bideford keeper Liam Kingston no chance.
Jay Malshanskj then sent in a hopeful ball which was caught by the wind and flew into the far top corner of the goal and there was little Kingston could do.
With the first half drawing to a close, some neat play in a crowded penalty area saw Bideford debutant Adam Carter score from close range.
