SO, Matt Badcock thinks the ‘number of clubs leaping towards online ticketing’ is a positive development (NLP, October 4). I think for clubs to move towards exclusively online ticketing would be a bad idea for the following reasons.
1. It is discriminatory. Not everyone has access to a computer or smartphone, and struggle to buy things online. Why should they be excluded?
2. Deteriorating weather means some postponements often happen at short notice, thus posing administrative problems for clubs.
