KIDLINGTON progressed thanks to first-half goals from Callum Harvey and Steve Robertson despite a spirited effort from visitors Didcot.
The game looked as good as over at half-time as Harvey put the hosts ahead after he fired a low shot beyond Leigh Bedwell. Robertson made it 2-0 after more good work from Harvey created a shooting opportunity that the former gladly took with his left foot. However, in the second half, Didcot responded superbly, only for George Jeacock to see his penalty well saved by keeper Ben Mitchell. Jeacock did get on the scoresheet five minutes later.
