BRIDGWATER Town have announced plans to redevelop their Fairfax Park home to turn it into seven-day venue for the local community.
The proposed two-storey development on the north side of the Western Premier outfit’s ground will include a bar/restaurant area, a sports technology centre and executive boxes.
The sports technology centre will provide an innovative range of training arenas to improve sports performance, with players able to get more touches of the ball in less time and accelerating their development in core attributes, said a club statement.
The technology is currently used by clubs in the Premier League and the top European leagues.
As well as upgrading facilities so the ground can host elite men’s and women’s football, the ground would be available for community engagement and education support for people those with special educational needs and disabilities.
Town’s joint manager Dave Pearse said that the scheme would be “absolutely massive” for the town.”
