CASH-STRAPPED King’s Lynn Town have pulled in the favours to complete an impressive double swoop.
The Linnets, who have had to furlough six of their first team in order to complete the National League season, have brought in former Premier League and Bundesliga forward Simeon Jackson and loan favourite Alfie Payne.
Jackson, 33, turned out for the likes of Gillingham, Norwich City and German side Eintract Braunschweig, before joining Chelmsford City last month.
Now, with their National League South season curtailed, Jackson has joined his former Norwich coach Ian Culverhouse at The Walks.
Midfielder Payne was previously with the Linnets in a loan spell from Norwich City.
Director of football Rob Back said: “We are delighted to welcome him back.”
