GRAYS ATHLETIC have signed much-travelled 24-year-old midfielder Freddy Moncur.
Manager Jim Cooper said: “I think the signing of Freddy shows our intent to play attacking, attractive football this season.
“He has played at much higher levels of football so will provide us with quality in possession of the ball.
“He was very sought after but after meeting with us, he decided that he wanted to play at Grays Athletic this season.”
The son of West Ham midfielder John and brother of Luton Town player George came through the youth system at Upton Park and then signed for Leyton Orient before spells with Wingate & Finchley and Bishop’s Stortford.
He also spent some time with East Thurrock United before signing for Concord Rangers, and went on to turn out for Cheshunt, Romford and Harlow Town before signing for Margate.
