HARINGEY picked up their first points of the season, helped considerably by visitors Horsham having to play all but seven minutes of the afternoon with ten men, and the last half-hour with nine.
The Hornets’ centre-back Gary Charman saw an early red when he fouled Alfred Bawling as the Boro striker reached the edge of the box with the goal at his mercy.
After the paperwork was sorted out, new father Michael O’Donoghue fired the resultant 20-yard free-kick from 20 yards low past unsighted Hornets keeper Sam Howes.
