Mariners Add More Firepower

GRIMSBY TOWN secured the signing of Bury striker Lenell John-Lewis on transfer deadline day.

The 23-year-old began his career with club and got his big break in 2006 when he joined Lincoln City.

He spent the best part of four years with the Imps, making over 70 first-team appearances, prior to joining Bury.

John-Lewis was used primarily as a substitute by the Shakers – he started only 19 league games during his time with them but featured off the bench over 60 times.

He has now put pen-to-paper on an 18-month deal with Grimsby and is expected to make his debut in their Blue Square Bet Premier game with on Saturday.
