ADAM Flint has joined Grays Athletic as assistant manager to help achieve their promotion aim.
The Isthmian North leaders have strengthened their staff following the retirement of boss Jim Cooper in August.
Paul Joynes, who joined the club with Coo- per in February 2019, stepped up as manager and has continued the Blues positive start although wanted to bring in an assistant ever since the change.
Flint has been lured from league ri- vals Maldon & Tiptree where he was work- ing as a coach having also been manager at Bishop’s Stortford and Witham Town.
“I am delighted to be joining such a prestigious club in Grays Athletic, it’s a club with a rich history and loyal support,” said Flint. “I appreciate the opportunity to work alongside Paul Joynes, who I have always admired.
“I’m also looking forward to working with this group of players, some of which I have worked with before, and I have followed the progress of the club closely over the last couple of seasons.
”I’m certain I can bring a wealth of knowledge of the level we are currently sitting, and help add something extra in the push to get promoted.”
