■ TOMMY Dixon-Hodge’s last-gasp save preserved a point for Basildon in a dour affair with Barking at Gardiners Close.
With the clock ticking down, Aaron Blair produced the best strike of the game, only for Dixon-Hodge to fling out a hand and palm the ball to safety. The stalemate means Basildon are still to win at home in the league this season, while a point for Barking ended a run of five successive defeats in all competitions. Dixon-Hodge had earlier kept out efforts by Kieran Jones and Charlie Heatley.
