WITH the weather playing havoc on the fixture list these last few weeks it’s fair to say the January Manager of the Month has been an interesting race.
It is more than likely that our winners, Barr Point FC – currently in 95th poisition in the main FNL table – may not have triumphed if the weather had not been so bad.
But triumph they did with a total of 1,549 points over the 31 days of January, earning them the £100 first prize.
Barr Points FC finished just two points ahead of second placed Taz The Badger who are third in the main FNL league table, and win themselves £50.
Just missing out on a cash prize, in third place just seven points adrift from the winner was Real Rubbish, who are 69th overall for the season so far.
The teams which qualified for the 25-point end-of-month league leader bonuses were as follows: Blue Square Bet Premier – Grimsby Town, Blue Square Bet North – Chester, Blue Square Bet South – Salisbury City, Evo-Stik Northern Premier – North Ferriby United, Ryman Premier – Whitehawk, Evo-Stik Southern Premier – Leamington, The Mixture – None.
