BASFORD United secured a 2-1 win over Leek Town at Greenwich Avenue, although the nature of the victory was hardly routine.
The hosts bagged a deserved lead, having dominated the opening exchanges, as captain Matt Thornhill slid a perfectly weighted ball through to Aaron O’Connor who made no mistake with his first-time effort.
