CANVEY Island consolidated their table-topping position with a narrow victory against Coggeshall Town at Park Lane.
The home side created an excellent chance to score after only four minutes with a counter attack, with Harrison Chatting releasing Evans Kouassi down the right to find the feet of Matthew Price on the penalty spot.
