HERNE Bay remain in fifth place after beating Lancing who made the home side work hard for their victory.
Herne Bay were quick to stamp their authority on the game having picked an attacking line-up, and Lancing’s goalkeeper Alieu Secka did well to prevent an opening goal.
The deadlock was broken by the energetic Bode Anidugbe in the 21st minute, and despite Bay being well on top, that was the only goal at the halftime interval.
