■ HISTON came within a whisker of inflicting a second consecutive defeat on Belper Town, who salvaged a point with virtually the last kick of the game.
The home side came close early on through Rhys Thorpe and Luke Lindsay, but Craig Nelthorpe missed Belper’s best chance to by hitting his penalty high and wide.
The Stutes started the second half brightly and, when Ollie Brookes fired in following a corner, a shock was on the cards. The Nailers hit the woodwork before Roach in the home goal saved another spot kick, from Jon Margetts.
