SOUTH Shields completed the double over Radcliffe with a goal early and late in the proceedings to strengthen their title bid.
Both sides had debutants between the posts.
Shields’ on-loan Barrow custodian Scott Moloney kept a clean sheet.
And Nathan Lowe’s penalty and JJ Hooper’s strike beat Radcliffe’s Sunderland loanee, teenager Jack McIntyre.
The Mariners got off to a dream start when Connor Tee was tripped in the penalty area and Lowe drove home the spot kick.
