■ THE Boatmen almost got off to the perfect start, but Brad Targett had his shot saved. Stuart Green opened the scoring in the tenth minute when he got in behind the Bideford defence and slipped the ball through Adam Seedhouse Evans’ legs.
The half got very scrappy and in the 30th minute Bideford started to get into the game. Six minutes later Marvin McLean picked out Targett, but his shot was blocked.
