Pair skip game to trial elsewhere

JOINT-BOSS Stuart Pierpoint insisted Stourbridge had “no choice” but to sack two players for skipping a rearranged FA Trophy tie to go on trial with full-time clubs.
The Southern League Premier Division Central outfit announced on Monday night that striker Montel Gibson and left-back or wideman Jak Hickman would be let go for allegedly “refusing to play” in Tuesday’s last-32 showdown with Guiseley, rescheduled following its postponement three days earlier.
