RAF FA VETERANS STILL GOING STRONG

THE RAF FA Veterans have come a long way since the days of two games a season to this year’s fixture list of 24 events, with the prestigious surroundings of St George’s Park the venue for home games.
“We went from 12 lads trying to play football at RAF Cosford to delivering two games a weekend once-amonth at St George’s Park where we’re getting up to 60 players,” says retired Flight Sergeant Matt Beattie, who heads up the Over 35s side and still pulls on his boots for the Over 50s.
