■ CHERTSEY saw the better of this encounter, as both teams push for a playoff spot. A sublime cross to the back post saw Marcus Abisogun stretch to poke the ball home after 15 minutes.
Simon Grant then kept the score at 1-0 when he made himself big to save from Ashley Lodge.
Chertsey increased the lead in 42nd minute when Andrew Crossley slotted home, and they could have had more, but for better finishing.
