COLNEY Heath picked up three vital points with a home win over Kempston Rovers.
The Magpies got off to a good start when Alex Solomon headed in only four minutes into his debut.
Only seven minutes later it was 2-0 when, following good work down the left, Elias Nichols crossed for Larry Balogun to get a touch from close range.
It could have been 3-0 when Balogun latched onto a back-pass but his low shot was blocked by the Kempston keeper Carl Knox’s legs.
