■IT WAS a case of new manager in Jon Fowell, new players, but old failings for Romford.
For Great Wakering, this result was another step on the way to retaining their Isthmian League status.
It took Rovers just five minutes to go ahead, James Crowhurst scoring after Boro’s Sidney Walker had given away possession inside his own half. Charlie Morris made it two, flicking in a free-kick from Alex Clark after Boro’s Eusebio da Silva was penalised.
Wakering bagged a third on the stroke of half-time, with Clark the scorer.
