HEMEL edged a crazy game that had seven goals, a missed penalty and two red cards.
Hemel led on six minutes when Pierre Fonkeu opened his account driving home just inside the box.
Sam Mantom then had a chance to double that lead from the penalty spot but Jonathan Henly saved his effort and a couple of minutes later Tonbridge levelled when a free-kick was half cleared and Teddy Perkins headed in.
Just before half time Mantom hit the post and Craig Fasanmade tucked home the loose ball to put the Tudors back ahead.
