EAST THURROCK closed the points gap on the teams above them in the drop zone, including yesterday’s opponents, when a late first-half and early second-half goal clinched their third league win on the bounce.
The enormity of the occasion, a relegation six-pointer if ever there was one, showed from the five first-half cautions.
But the mood amongst the home fans lightened considerably two minutes before the break when the Rocks broke the deadlock.
