MERSTHAM were landed in the drop zone when a goal in each half consigned them to defeat at Potters Bar.
The visitors almost took an unexpected lead in the tenth minute as Finlay Lovatt cut through the Bar defence only to be denied by a last ditch goal line clearance from Tyler Christian – Law.
Jude Mason also went close for Merstham, pulling a good chance wide.
