BUXTON saw their lead at the top reduced to goal difference after being held by Mickleover in a six-goal thriller at the Don Arnott Arena.
A cagey opening quarter gave no hint of what was to follow but once the goal fest began on 28 minutes the advantage ebbed and flowed.
The first goal, ironically, was scored by Liam Ravenhill, the son of of former Buxton hero Ricky, who fired a 20-yard low drive into the far corner.
His team by then had become more purposeful in attack but the visitors equalised from their first corner in the 41st minute.
