AN OFF-FIELD power cut did nothing to diminish the glow of an electric second half showing from Stalybridge Celtic as they secured the points that guarantee they retain their place in the NPL Premier Division.
The early kick-off seemed to have affected both teams in what was a sluggish start under the midday sun, with the only real action of the first half being Ben Anderson’s tug on Dougie Nyaupembe’s shirt that led to the award of a 16th-minute penalty.
