■ RUNCORN Linnets all but secured a play-off spot as they saw off Leek thanks to second-half goals from Joe Lynch and Iwan Murray.
Both teams were chasing play-off positions and both started brightly and while it was an end-to-end first period, it offered few chances with Ammar Dyer coming close for Leek and Tom Marsh-Hughes hitting the woodwork for the home team.
Runcorn immediately went on the attack from the restart and it was a Lynch penalty, after a Leek defensive slip that saw the hosts edge ahead.
