WILY boss John Coventry is back in football – after just a week on the sidelines!
‘Covo’ has taken over at Isthmian North side Tilbury, just days after leaving leaving rivals Great Wakering Rovers.
Coventry is best known for his lengthy spell in charge at East Thurrock United, where he served for 13 years before stepping down when the 2019-20 season came to an early close.
He presided over the Rocks hotseat for 666 competitive matches, steering the club through promotions and relegations, play-off victories and defeats, FA Cup runs and to Essex Senior Cup victory.
