■ LIAM Prynn fired in an injury time penalty to seal the title for Tavistock in a thrilling climax to the season.
The forward showed nerves of steel to slot in the spot-kick and break the stubborn resistance of Ashton and Backwell United, as the Lambs earned a 1-0 victory that saw them crowned champions.
Tavistock went into the final day leading the title race by a slender margin on goal difference over Exmouth Town. But Town’s hopes of ending the season at the summit were scuppered by Shepton Mallet who frustrated the visitors in a goalless stalemate.
