Blues finish on a high after misery

DESPITE Billericay’s miserable campaign, they ended on a high with a battling victory over local rivals Braintree Town in a close encounter.
The hosts started the game brightly and looked a threat, especially through Gio Crichlow. No notable goalscoring chances came from both sides in the first half and Billericay looked to counter-attack when they had the opportunity to do so.
The game sparked into life in the second period as the Irons were unable to capitalise on two big chances.
