Tom’s Linnets are on the move

Relegated King’s Lynn Town have started planning for an immediate return to the National League by switching their training base to Cambridge.
Manager Tommy Widdrington says talks are at an “advanced stage” over the move, which will see the Linnets relocate sessions 45 miles to the south.
“I’d never use our location as an excuse,” said Widdrington, who took charge in December when the club had just seven points on the board.
