THEY may be the teeniest tiniest ‘City’ in English football but there are interesting developments happening on and off the field at Southwell City FC.
I have to say that the club’s grandiose name has always fascinated me. Especially as they are actually based in a small Nottinghamshire market town with a population of just 7,300. But local vistas are dominated by Southwell Minster Cathedral and so the football team are proud to use ‘City’ in their title.
