WELWYN Garden City boss Max Mitchell is determined to use last season’s play-off heartbreak as motivation – and the basis for another promotion assault.
The Citizens finished fifth in the Southern Central Division One but were denied the opportunity to battle it out in the play-offs after their Herns Way home failed its ground grading.
As a result, boss Nick Ironton opted for pastures new, leaving experienced midfielder Mitchell to take over the reigns.
