CHARITY COMP IS ALL SET FOR NEW LAUNCH

A LONG-RUNNING charity tournament in aid of Leukaemia Research is set to kick off its latest instalment next Sunday.
The Graham Edwards Memorial Trophy is named in memory of a promising young footballer from Gobowen, near Oswestry, who played for Gobowen and Weston Rhyn. He sadly died of Leukaemia aged just 21 in 1974.
The tournament was set up in his memory the following year and is one of the longest running charity tournaments in the country.
