DOMINANT Sunderland RCA held off a late revival from NPL East outfit Hebburn Town to pull off a shock FA Cup victory at the Sunderland LGV Park.
The Wearsiders took the lead through Mark Davison in the ninth minute as captain Kieran Charlton’s cross found the striker in the box and he volleyed into the bottom corner.
Despite the Hornets’ improved start to the second half, it was Charlton who doubled RCA’s sides lead just before the hour with an excellent solo effort.
