Bookies are not often wrong but Solihull Moors boss Neal Ardley insists it is too early to assume the National League’s flying favourites are up there to stay.
The pre-season odds painted well-heeled Wrexham as dead certs with fellow giants Notts County and Chesterfield, and Ardley’s Moors, clustered together as the likeliest challengers.
Albeit in a different order, that was the top four at the close of play last Saturday after Solihull, Notts and Wrexham all smashed in five, while the Spireites stayed top with victory at Oldham.
