■ BORO suffered a second successive defeat to
Grimsby in three weeks. A second-half goal from Jack Bradbury was enough to see the hosts take the points.
A good start from the hosts saw them test Tad keeper Max Culverwell on more than one occasion on his debut.
The visitors’ best offering came midway through the first half when another debutant, Valentine, saw a close range header saved.
In the 51st minute Grimsby scored the game’s only goal, Bradbury beating Culverwell to the ball at the near post to poke home.
